We needed to persevere with the staff to get the level of service we had paid for. The first room we allocated was small and tired but we got it changed. Evening meal food portions were too small until we asked for extra. We were asked to pay for the 'free' airport shuttle.

I had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Kuwait! The reception team was absolutely fantastic—very professional, approachable, and always welcoming with a smile. Their hospitality made the check-in and check-out process smooth and enjoyable.
A special mention to the Duty Manager, whom I frequently saw around the hotel, warmly greeting guests and proactively offering assistance whenever needed. His presence and attentiveness truly enhanced the overall experience.
Thank you to the entire team for making my stay memorable—I will definitely be returning!

I stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed my stay. It is a comfortable hotel with very friendly staff, a great location for exploring Salmiya and the beach, and a delicious breakfast spread.

The staff and management at the property are stellar: ALL the staff from the valets to housekeeping have been exceptionally well-trained and are long-term employees who remember repeat travelers like me. The selection of restaurants and the in-room dining is outstanding. However, this is an older property that hasn't been updated in decades (I know because I've been frequenting the hotel that long). The lighting is incredibly bad (actual fixtures and color selections of decor are all dark and dreary). The bathrooms are not fit for female travelers (poor lighting, tiny counter space, no way to apply make-up). Housekeeping staff does their best to clean, but nothing can be done for outdated carpets and bathrooms. TV selections are awful and no streaming. Both of the salons (male and female) are sub-par. The hotel is in dire need of updating to stay in line with current trends and their competitors.

I have been coming to the Holiday Inn Salmiya for more than a decade. The staff is excellent in responding to guest needs. I often have to conduct interviews and meet people at the hotel. The range of restaurants and facilities offer suitable choices for different times of day, and the gym facilities are perfect for keeping healthy. Whether one is a first-time visitor to Kuwait or a regular one, I recommend HI Salmiya without reservation.
